Continuing his annual tradition California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has issued a message commemorating the 19th anniversary of Armenian Independence, as reported by the Armenian Council of America. On the occasion, the Governor also praised the Armenian-American constituents of California for their contributions to the state.
The following is the full text of the Governor’s Independence Day message to California’s Armenian American community:
“Greetings to the celebrants of Armenian Independence Day!
California is home to a wonderful meshing of customs and cultures and now we acknowledge our Armenian-American residents for their contributions to our Golden State. You enhance our communities and enrich California’s diversity. We are honored to join you in commemorating this special occasion.
On behalf of all Californians, we wish you a memorable observance and every future success.”
