YEREVAN — On October 1st the launch of the “Armenian ICT European Expedition Auto Rally” was officially announced.
The participants of the Auto Rally will begin their journey after official closing of “DigiTec” Information and Telecommunication Technologies Expo on October 4.
During the press conference the official start of the project was announced by the Deputy Minister of Economy of RA Emil Tarasyan, the organizer and sponsor of the project, head of the company “Technology and Science Dynamics” Vahan Shakaryan, the executive director of the “New Technology Education Fund” (NTEF) Vahan Hovsepyan and general sponsor of the project, founder of “Citymobil” company Aram Arakelyan.
The Deputy Minister of Economy of RA Emil Tarasyan noted in his speech “ Armenian ICT European Expedition: Auto Rally” is a new format, which aimed to present and highlight the capacity and achievements of the Armenian ICT sector to European partners. We are switching to a new format to present the achievements of the Armenian ICT sector with non-standard solutions, which will enable the Armenian businessmen to meet with European partners and, as a result, concrete business suggestions will be and agreements will be reached. This is a precedent not only for IT sector, but also a new format, a new approach, the results of which will be seen after the campaign”.
Within the framework of the program from October 4 to 6, more than 40 representatives from Armenian ICT companies will visit 20 European countries and will take part in:
• “Hi-Tech/Made in Armenia” business forums
• Meetings with local organizations
• Introduction of Armenian “Hi-Tech” corner
• Several international events
The Armenian ICT delegation will have business meetings in Vienna, Praha, Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Marseille, Milan, Zagreb, Belgrade, Sofia, Athens, etc., and will take part in the international technology events in Bucharest and Katowice.
The program is being implemented by the cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Armenia, particularly with the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Diaspora, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government of Nagorno Karabakh Republic, SME Development National Center of Armenia, Enterprise Europe Network and with the support of “Reso” Insurance Company, “Altacode”, “Arpinet”, “Loft” and “Citymobil” companies.
