DILIJAN  — On June 14, a working meeting was held in Dilijan between Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia, and Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to the peace agenda between Armenia and Azerbaijan. They emphasized the importance of continued bilateral dialogue in the context of efforts to strengthen lasting peace and stability in the region.

The sides also exchanged views on measures aimed at strengthening mutual trust between the civil societies of the two countries.

Armen Grigoryan and Hikmet Hajiyev agreed to continue working-level contacts, noting that the next meeting will be held in Azerbaijan.

In an exclusive comment to Armenpress, the Office of the Secretary of the Security Council clarified how Hajiyev arrived in Armenia.

Asked how Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, had arrived in Armenia, the office said that Hajiyev and the delegation accompanying him entered Armenia through the delimited and demarcated section of the land border, after completing all relevant procedures.
