Artsakh was liberated during Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s rule, but he was accused of making Armenia “cold and dark” and robbing it.

Levon Ter-Petrosyan opened up to the people and explained what would happen to us if we did not compromise from the position of the winner, but he was accused of treason.

Robert Kocharyan was not an Armenian citizen, but was “elected” President of Armenia by constitutional violations.

The bloc of Vazgen Sargsyan (the main figure in the liberation of Artsakh) and Karen Demirjian won the May 30,1999 parliamentary elections, inspiring the people with a bright future for Armenia, but they were assassinated in the Parliament on October 27 of the same year.

Robert Kocharyan and his allies organized the October 27, 1999 massacre, beheading our statehood, but those who professed the national interest subserviently kept silent.

During the ten years of Robert Kocharyan’s rule, from the presidential to the local elections, they were rigged, institutions of strategic value for the country were handed over to a foreign power, the country’s wealth was plundered, but the propagandists of democracy subserviently kept silent by pocketing their share.

Robert Kocharyan handed over power to Serzh Sargsyan on March 1, 2008, at the cost of firing at demonstrators and killing ten people, but those who preached about putting the interests of the people above personal interests subserviently kept silent.

During Serzh Sargsyan’s rule, all elections were rigged again and the looting of the country continued, but those who advocated for democracy continued to subserviently keep silent, at the expense of a few parliamentary seats.

During the years of Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan’s rule, the foundations of our statehood continued to be eroded, but those who preached about a strong state subserviently kept silent.

During the years of Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan, in spite of our enemy Azerbaijan’s blatant arms purchases, they enriched their pockets with billions of dollars they looted, built castles and invested in foreign countries. But the Armenian soldier was served a low-quality meal, the country’s military industry was not enhanced, the army was not strengthened with modern weapons, and the propagandists of a powerful state continued to subserviently keep silent.

During the years of Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan, the Armenians of Armenia and the Diaspora, with the exception of those in power and those few enjoying special privileges, were in a state of despair in view of the situation in Armenia, which had reached the abyss of decline. It is an obvious reality that the 2018 Velvet Revolution breathed new life into them.

Those who brought Armenia to the brink of the abyss have been fighting since 2018 to regain the monopolies they have lost and hinder Armenia’s development.

The terrible blow that the enemy was preparing before our eyes and was able to deliver, was the result of two decades of robbery and destructive policies of Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan. Unfortunately, the positive changes of the last two years were not enough to avoid the catastrophe. The fact is that the expected 3-5 days of resistance lasted 44 days. It is a fact that during the second week of the war, traitors went to the frontlines to persuade our brave soldiers to lay down their arms. It is a fact that there are deserters among the protesters in Yerevan, who destroy the Parliament building instead of fighting the enemy.

The defeat we suffered is terrible. But those responsible must be identified. All the above-mentioned realities and facts must be sufficient to be convinced that a return to the destructive rule of the former authorities will lead to the disintegration of Armenia and to the demoralization of the Diaspora.

  1. Putin has been planning all along to betray Armenia in favor of Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Putin has been following a plan laid out by one of his favorites, Alexander Dugin, who also is a great admirer of Putin. Dugin founded the National Bolshevik Party.

Putin and Dugin have a mutual adminration society.

Dugin said this of Putin (this is from Wikipedia):

“There are no more opponents of Putin’s course and, if there are, they are mentally ill and need to be sent off for clinical examination.

Putin is everywhere, Putin is everything, Putin is absolute, and Putin is indispensable” – this was voted # 2 in flattery by readers of Kommersant.

Dugin believes that Russia can establish a Slavic/Turkic federation. Yes, it’s crazy but that’s what he and Putin believe. Now you know.

Look it up. There is plenty of information out there.

  2. In my view as long as Armenia depended on Russia economically and militarily will be betray by Russia/Putin for his on benefits. It is time to find an outlet through Iran and maybe Georgia to allow us to deal with outside world and not rely on Russia only. As an Disporan, we are asking why those protester are not in Artashat fighting? We thought there were mobilization of fighting men in Armenia to be send to fight. I am puzzled.

  3. Levon Ter-Petrossian was ahead of his time and Armenia was in excellent position to negotiate with Azerbaijan in mid-1990s. It was unreasonable to believe that Armenia could indefinitely keep 7 regions adjacent to Karabakh, which had Azeri majority prior to 1992. This is a good opportunity for certain heads to cool off a bit and accept reality. Armenians will still have self-governance in Karabakh and now is an opportunity to establish some sort of relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey. This economic and political blockade is hurting Armenia only.

  4. I only hope Mr. Pashinyan will eliminate the Armenian Republican party like Ter-Petrosyan eliminated the destructive Dashnaks in the 90s. The Government needs to take a Lincolnesque approach to democracy. At this time, we cannot pretend as if we have an advanced and civilized democratic system in the country. And the judiciary is packed with corruption. Thus, Pashinyan’s reliance on these systems to produce results and punish corruption will fail miserably. That has been already proven. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that it was Kocharyan who instigated the current situation. He is a Thug and a traitor and has Putin’s ear. Accordingly, like President Lincoln, Mr. Pashinyan must suspend the constitution, arrest the old-time thugs and oligarchs, and literally assassinate them. I know, this sounds tough. However, difficult times require fast and reactive measures. Number one priority must be the accomplishment of political and economic stability. And as long as the country is busy with long lasting drama of prosecutions in the corrupt judicial system, there is going to be political paralysis and economic decline. Once he has proven himself to be tough and uncompromising to fake opposition (I say fake, because these people, like the Republicans today in the US, do not have any ideas about improving the homeland. Their only desire for power is driven by self interest and self dealings), Mr. Pashinyan can then start his Armenian Reconstruction.
And if PM Pashinyan somehow gets across this comment, (although I have stated the same in a tweeter message to him), please Mr. PM, control your emotions, stop the tired lingo you repeat at the end of every speech, shave the beard (the revolution is over), listen to your bureaucratic advisers, encourage them to disagree with you and with each other. And most importantly, kiss the Russian Thug’s butt as long as he is in office (and I am sure it will not be too long). The first 10 years of new Armenia must look more like Singapore than France. And, remember, good fences make good neighbor. We are a nation of 3 million. Our Islamic neighbors are in hundreds of millions. Sign peace agreements (only after the Turks recognize the genocide), do business with them. However, never allow their citizens to reside in the Republic of Armenia. (you may even need to pass a constitutional amendment to this end). If you do, They will take over the remainder of our country within 10 years.
