YEREVAN — Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Hamid Ghanbari discussed the strategic relationship between Armenia and Iran during a meeting in Yerevan on July 30.
The officials focused particularly on infrastructure projects, including initiatives in the energy and transportation sectors. They emphasized the importance of the opportunities created by implementing new regional connectivity projects.
The parties also discussed regional developments.
Minister Mirzoyan stressed that Armenia is closely monitoring the current situation and attaches importance to establishing peace and resolving existing issues through constructive efforts.
During a separate meeting with Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, the parties discussed matters on the Armenia-Iran agenda and reviewed ongoing cooperation.
They also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
