YEREVAN — The 11th meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani State Border Delimitation and Border Security Commission, chaired by Deputy Prime Ministers Mher Grigoryan and Shahin Mustafayev, took place at the border between the two countries, according to a statement by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“During the meeting, the parties continued exchanging views on the sequencing of sections for the further implementation of border delimitation works. They reached an agreement to commence the comprehensive border delimitation process from the northern section, starting at the intersection of the borders of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Georgia, and proceeding southward, from north to south, to the border of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan with the Islamic Republic of Iran,” the official statement reads.

The parties also discussed draft guidelines regarding the procedures for carrying out the delimitation work. They agreed to coordinate the date and location of the next meeting through working-level communication, the statement added.
