YEREVAN — The American University of Armenia’s Acopian Center for the Environment is organizing a conference on ecotourism in Armenia to be held on April 2 with the purpose of creating a platform for exchange of ideas and experiences as well as building a network of stakeholders. The conference will include presentations, discussions, workshops and an exhibition.

There are several initiatives either completed or currently underway to capture the potential for ecotourism in Armenia.

Three general sessions where topics of common interest will be presented and discussed; many concurrent sessions for discussions, presentations and workshops; an exhibition hall where service providers, development organizations, and villages/destinations can market themselves. An important aspect of this conference is the active participation of rural citizens from all over Armenia.
