WROCLAW — Armenian weightlifter Andranik Karapetian claimed the gold medal at the Junior World Championships held in Wroclaw, Poland, the website of the Armenian Weightlifting federation informs.

Karapetian, 19, lifted a total of 335 kg (155+180), three kg more than Iran’s Ali Miri in the 77 kg weight category. Romanian Doru Ilie Stoian won a bronze medal with a total lift of 326kg.
