YEREVAN — A swearing-in ceremony for members of the Armenian government was held at the Presidential Residence in the presence of President Vahagn Khachaturyan.
The ceremony was also attended by National Assembly Speaker Ruben Rubinyan, Constitutional Court President Arman Dilanyan, Supreme Council President Artur Atabekyan, and other senior officials.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was the first to take the oath:
“For the perpetuity, independence, sovereignty and development of the Republic of Armenia, I swear to conscientiously fulfill my duties as a member of the Government, uphold the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Armenia, serve the public interest, protect the interests of the state, contribute to strengthening the statehood and constitutional order of the Republic of Armenia, and act in the interests of present and future generations.”
The other members of the government subsequently took the oath of office.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, President Khachaturyan congratulated the prime minister and members of the government on assuming their responsibilities.
“Today’s oath carries a great responsibility before the Republic of Armenia and our citizens. It is a pledge of loyalty to the state, the Constitution and the law,” Khachaturyan said.
The president emphasized that serving as a member of the government is both a great honor and a significant responsibility, adding that the most important measure of the government’s work will be its results—addressing the challenges facing the country, improving people’s lives and strengthening the state.
Khachaturyan noted that Armenia faces serious challenges requiring consistency, resilience and daily dedication. He urged government members to view every challenge as an opportunity to find solutions and to pursue new approaches and ideas.
“The world and our region are changing rapidly. This reality requires Armenia and all of us to embrace new thinking, initiative and the ability to anticipate the future,” the president said, stressing that modern approaches and the pursuit of new opportunities are essential to the country’s progress.
Khachaturyan called on government members to ensure that the Constitution, the rule of law, the primacy of the national interest and responsibility toward citizens remain at the foundation of their work.
“Public office, ultimately, is service to the state and its citizens,” he said.
The president expressed confidence that the experience, knowledge and dedication of the government members would contribute to Armenia’s development and strengthening, and wished them strength, determination and success in carrying out their responsibilities.
