Armenia Will Defend Its Territorial Integrity with All Available Means in Case of an Azerbaijani Attack – Vahan Kostanyan

YEREVAN –In the event of a possible Azerbaijani attack on the Republic of Armenia, Yerevan will defend its territorial integrity using all available tools.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Vahan Kostanyan, stated this during a press briefing following a government meeting.

When asked about Armenia’s response if Azerbaijan attacks and attempts to forcefully establish the so-called “corridor,” Kostanyan responded:

“Naturally, the Republic of Armenia will defend its territorial integrity with all means at its disposal.”

Regarding accusations from Baku about Armenia acquiring weapons, Kostanyan emphasized that Armenia is exercising its sovereign right and strengthening its defense capabilities.

“As we have previously stated, Armenia has no intention of undertaking offensive actions against any of its neighbors. As for the ongoing arms race in the region, Armenia has proposed establishing a mutual arms control mechanism with Azerbaijan. This proposal remains in effect,” he added.
