GLENDALE — On Thursday, September 10, a delegation representing the Social Democratic Hunchakian Party (SDHP) met with the Consul General of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Avetisyan.
Mihran Khachadourian, Chairman of the SDHP Western United States Executive Committee, presented the Consul General with an invitation to attend a celebration marking the 35th anniversary of Armenia’s independence. The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 20, at Verdugo Park in Glendale.
Avetisyan expressed her appreciation for the invitation and commended the SDHP for its longstanding commitment to the Armenian state, noting that she is well acquainted with the Party’s activities and dedication.
Khachadourian, in turn, expressed the Party’s willingness to maintain close and ongoing communication and cooperation with the Consulate General for the benefit of Armenia.
During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on developments within the Armenian community of Los Angeles, as well as the current situation in Armenia and recent developments on the domestic and international fronts.
Both sides noted the positive trajectory of Armenia’s economy and discussed how continued economic growth could contribute to improving the population’s standard of living.
Also present at the meeting was the Consulate General’s Secretary, Mayram Khacheyan.
The SDHP delegation consisted of Mihran Khachadourian, Ruben Mughalean, Karine Depoyean, and Krikor Khodanian.
