DUBAI — Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with UAE Minister of Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi on the sidelines of the 15th Annual Investment Meeting in Dubai.
The two officials discussed a range of issues related to expanding trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and the United Arab Emirates, as well as creating new opportunities for bilateral business ties.
Papoyan proposed organizing visits by UAE business representatives to Armenia to familiarize them with the country’s production capabilities, hold business-to-business (B2B) meetings and explore opportunities to move from trial shipments to long-term supply contracts.
The two sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was also attended by Vardges Hovsepyan, chargé d’affaires of the Armenian Embassy in the UAE; Artak Avetisyan, Armenia’s consul general in Dubai; and Hayk Mkhitaryan, economic adviser to the Armenian ambassador to the UAE.
