WASHINGTON, DC — The leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan are set to travel to the United States to participate in the “Peace Council” summit initiated by former U.S. President Donald Trump, following a regional visit by U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance.
According to reports, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev plan to visit Washington on February 19 to attend the Peace Council summit.
Earlier, the outlet Axios, citing U.S. diplomats, reported that during the summit the White House intends to discuss and mobilize measures to support the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, as well as efforts aimed at the region’s reconstruction.
