YEREVAN — On March 2, 1992, when the tricolor of the newly independent Republic of Armenia was raised at the UN headquarters, symbolizing our country’s entry into the family of sovereign nations, a centuries-old dream of our people was realized—to live and thrive in our own state.
Since that day, over the past 33 years, under various circumstances, developments, and priorities, Armenia’s diplomatic service has become an integral part of strengthening our sovereign statehood, overcoming existential challenges, and collectively addressing global issues. More often than not, it has served as a guarantee of our nation’s resilience.
Today, the Republic of Armenia stands at a unique crossroads—both in terms of time and space, as well as ideology and values. In a world and regions facing complex and often unpredictable challenges, where ambitions to assert dominance through force persist, the role of diplomats as frontline warriors has become more crucial than ever.
The imperative of the day is to establish a peaceful, secure, and stable environment around our state, ensure economic development opportunities within this framework, and effectively advance a positive agenda in international cooperation.
A deep sense of mission, unwavering dedication, boundless energy, steadfast determination, adaptability, and professionalism—only through the effective combination of these qualities can we navigate this path successfully.
On this symbolic day, I extend my congratulations and heartfelt gratitude to all Armenian diplomats for their devoted service. I am confident that together, we will undoubtedly succeed.
Long live the Republic of Armenia!
