PASADENA — On December 12, 2024, the AEBU Center in Pasadena was filled with energy and excitement as the Armenian Council of America (ACA) hosted its 3rd Annual Comedy Night, blending laughter with philanthropy. The event, which drew a packed audience, had a dual purpose: to provide a night of entertainment and to gather donations for toys, coats, and blankets for children in Armenia—particularly those who have been forcibly displaced from Artsakh.

Serving as the evening’s host, Master of Ceremonies Steven Hovagimian guided the crowd through a series of performances by an exceptional lineup of comedians, including Fanto, Michael Passion, and Jack Jr. The comedians’ witty humor and infectious energy kept the audience in stitches, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere throughout the evening.

Reflecting on the success of the event, Harry Unell, a member of the organizing committee, expressed his satisfaction with the remarkable turnout. “This is our third year hosting the Comedy Night, and once again, it has been an overwhelming success,” he said. “The support from our community continues to grow, and it’s heartwarming to see so many people come together for such a worthy cause.”

Raffi Barsamian, another member of the organizing committee, highlighted the deeper significance of the Comedy Night. “This event is a testament to the generosity and spirit of the Armenian community,” he noted. “It’s not just about having a good time—it’s about supporting those in need, especially our children in Armenia. Our community is always ready to step up and provide crucial aid to our brothers and sisters back home during times of hardship.”

The Armenian Council of America extends its deepest gratitude to the Sylva and Cie, Armenian Benevolent Educational Union (ABEU), the Armenian Compatriotic Committee, the Armenian Athletic Association, the Nor Serount Cultural Association, the Gaidz Youth Organization, and other sponsors for their invaluable support. Special thanks are also given to the dedicated volunteers and attendees, whose contributions played a key role in the event’s success and in making the night truly unforgettable.
