TÓRSHAVN – In the third round of the UEFA Nations League tournament, the Armenian national football team played to a 2-2 draw with the Faroe Islands in Tórshavn.

The match began with a long-range goal by Jan Benjaminsen in the 37th minute. In the 44th minute, Lucas Zelarayán equalized with a free kick. Towards the end of the second half, the home team regained the lead with Jóannes Bjartalíð scoring in the 85th minute. However, during extra added time, Gor Manvelyan leveled the score with a beautiful strike from a tight angle.

The match saw the Armenian national team maintain significant territorial and gameplay advantages.

In the other match of Group 4 in League C, North Macedonia achieved a 3-0 away victory over Latvia.

After three rounds, North Macedonia leads the group standings with 7 points. Armenia is second with 4 points, Latvia is third with 3 points, and the Faroe Islands are fourth with 2 points.

In the next round, the Armenian national team will host North Macedonia on October 13.
