STEPANAKERT — Azerbaijan has been amassing and actively moving its troops in different directions of the line of contact with Nagorno-Karabakh overnight, the Nagorno-Karabakh defense ministry said on Monday. Despite the agreement on cessation of hostilities in and around Nagorno-Karabakh, reached on April 5 in Moscow as result of a meeting of Armenia’s and Azerbaijan’s top army generals

“The frontline units of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army are following the steps being undertaken by the Azerbaijani armed forces and are ready to resort to corresponding actions, if necessary,” Nagorno-Karabakh’s Defense Ministry said in a statement.

It also said at this moment no breaches of ceasefire were reported. The situation is completely under control of the advanced units of the defense army.

Earlier, Nagorno-Karabakh’s Defense Ministry said three Armenian servicemen were killed in two separate incidents at the line of contact in the directions of Talish and Martuni over the weekend. One Armenian soldier wounded in an April 29 skirmish succumbed to his wound in hospital early on Monday.
