YEREVAN — Spokesman of the Defense Ministry of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan informs via Facebook the Armenian Armed Forces have downed a reconnaissance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) in the territory of the Yelpin community of Vayots Dzor Province, Armenia.
“Today at 14:00 the Air Defense units of the Armed Forces of Armenia have downed a reconnaissance UAV in the territory of Yelpin community of Vayots Dzor Province. Further information on the origin and production of the UAV will be reported soon”, Hovhannisyan informed.
Azerbaijani armed forces were accused of using Israeli-made Harop remote-controlled, explosive-filled kamikaze-drones during April 4 days war in and around Karabakh. One of these dive-bomb drones was used by Azerbaijan to kill seven Armenian volunteers in a bus.
