On Monday February 22, 2011, Armenia’s Ambassador to Lebanon Ashot Kocharyan visited the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party offices to meet with the SDHP’s Central Committee Vice-Chairman and Lebanese Parlimentary Member Mr. Sebouh Kalpakian along with board members of the SDHP Lebanese central committee headed by Dr. Mardik Jamgotchian and the Editor in Chief of Ararat Daily Mr. Aharon Shekerdemian.

During the meeting both sides discussed Armenia-Lebanon bilateral relations, the necessity to expand Armenia-Diaspora ties and other issues. The Ambassador also expressed his desire that the Armenian community of Lebanon and all the Armenian structures continue to work closely with the embassy, in particular, to conduct high-level events to mark Armenia’s 20th anniversary of independence.
