YEREVAN — Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer on the sidelines of the European Political Community Summit.

Pashinyan described Starmer’s visit as historic, noting that it marks the first visit by a Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Armenia. He expressed confidence that the visit would give new momentum to bilateral relations and expand cooperation across multiple sectors.

Starmer thanked the Armenian side for the warm hospitality and for organizing the summit at a high level. He emphasized the importance of strengthening and broadening cooperation with Armenia across various fields.

The two leaders discussed both bilateral relations and regional issues of mutual interest.

Following the meeting, Pashinyan and Starmer exchanged a joint declaration on a Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Armenia and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
