MOSCOW — Sales of Armenian “Jermuk” mineral water have been suspended in Russia, including in online stores, following a decision by the country’s state labeling system.
According to Revaz Yusupov, deputy head of the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies, approximately 338,000 bottles currently in circulation have been blocked pending the completion of inspections.
The suspension follows a notice from Rospotrebnadzor, which called for immediate measures to prevent potential harm to the life and health of Russian citizens.
According to sources, the suspension is linked to alleged violations of mandatory requirements.
The restriction applies to products manufactured on February 17, 2026, and March 5, 2026. As noted by Yusupov, these products will not reach consumers until inspections are completed.
