YEREVAN  — Turkish Airlines has officially launched its direct flight service on the Istanbul–Yerevan–Istanbul route. The airline’s inaugural flight from Istanbul International Airport arrived today at Zvartnots International Airport, marking a new chapter in regional connectivity.

The arrival of the first flight was welcomed by several officials and representatives from the aviation industry, including Stepan Payaslyan, Deputy Chair of the RA Civil Aviation Committee; Marcelo Wende, Director; Sergey Avetisyan, General Manager of Armenia International Airports CJSC; Hüseyin Özbek, Turkish Airlines Vice President of Sales for Eastern Europe; and Kenan Ince, General Manager for Georgia and Armenia at Turkish Airlines, along with other invited guests.

Flights on the Istanbul–Yerevan–Istanbul route will initially operate daily. Beginning May 14, the frequency will increase to 10 flights per week, and starting June 15, the service will expand to 14 flights per week, offering passengers greater flexibility and improved travel connectivity between the two cities.

Officials congratulated their partners on the launch of the new route and wished the airline continued success and safe flights.
