YEREVAN — National Assembly deputy Vahagn Aleksanyan of the ruling Civil Contract faction made a post on his Facebook page outlining what he described as the government’s key achievements.

“1. For the first time since Armenia’s independence, we have had 24 months and more without fatalities at the border.
2. For the first time in history, the Vice President of the United States visited Armenia.
3. A major American technology company is preparing to invest up to $4 billion in Armenia to establish an AI ‘factory.’
4. For the first time in Armenia’s history, citizens aged 65 and older are receiving free healthcare.
5. Nearly every day, a newly built school or kindergarten is opening.
6. Thousands of homes are being constructed in border villages with state funding.
7. Over the past five years, average economic growth has been 7.9%, one of the best rates in the world.
8. Over the past seven years, more than 300,000 new registered jobs have been created in Armenia.
9. In recent years, for the first time, Armenia has experienced immigration instead of emigration.
10. There is peace.

And just at this moment, the ‘saviors’ arrive and begin their rescue efforts. One puts on a circus performance, another builds an ark, and another group roams around Armenia looking for a railway line that supposedly hasn’t been sold, so they can take pictures with it,” Aleksanyan wrote.
