YEREVAN — Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

President Putin congratulated the Armenian prime minister on his birthday and extended his best wishes. Pashinyan thanked the Russian leader for the call and the congratulations.

The two leaders also exchanged views on current issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda.

Pashinyan expressed gratitude to Putin for his balanced positions on several issues that have given rise to differing interpretations, as well as for his friendship and support.

The leaders agreed to continue their discussions during a future in-person meeting.

According to the Russian side’s statement, the two leaders also discussed the results of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting held in Astana on May 29.
