Armenian Humanitarian Aid Trucks Head to Lebanon Through Margara Crossing on Armenian-Turkish Border

YEREVAN — As a result of negotiations with the Turkish side, the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reached an agreement to send humanitarian aid to Lebanon through the Margara crossing on the Armenian-Turkish border.

According to Armenpress, four Armenian trucks carrying humanitarian aid intended for Lebanon crossed the Margara checkpoint on June 12 and headed toward Lebanon through Turkish territory.

The humanitarian shipment totals 80 tons, including 38 tons of medicine and hygiene supplies, as well as 42 tons of food products, including canned goods and non-perishable food.

The collection of medicine was coordinated by Armenia’s Ministry of Health, while the collection of food was coordinated by the Ministry of Economy.
