YEREVAN — Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who visited Gyumri as part of the Civil Contract party’s election campaign, answered journalists’ questions regarding recent issues related to exports to Russia.

Mirzoyan also responded to a statement by Dmitry Medvedev, saying the information presented by the Russian official was incorrect.

“This official’s information is wrong. Armenia is not interested in cutting political, economic, or any other ties with Russia. On the contrary, we are determined, we want, and we will strive to maintain our normal relations and deepen them,” Mirzoyan said.

Asked about the agenda of the U.S. secretary of state’s upcoming visit to Armenia, Mirzoyan said: “He will come, and the agenda will become known.”

When asked whether Rubio’s visit amounts to support for the current authorities, Mirzoyan responded: “Are you very afraid?”
