YEREVAN — Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held separate phone conversations with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
During the call between Mirzoyan and Fidan, the two ministers discussed recent developments in the Middle East, expressing concern over the continuing escalation of the situation. Both sides emphasized the importance of establishing stability and security in the region.
Mirzoyan and Bayramov also exchanged views on recent developments in the region, expressing concern and stressing the importance of refraining from actions that could further escalate tensions.
The ministers noted with satisfaction the importance of achieving lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
Meanwhile, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in an official statement, expressed gratitude to international partners—including Armenia—for supporting Azerbaijan following drone attacks attributed to Iran.
“We highly appreciate the solidarity shown with Azerbaijan and the clear reaffirmation of support for our country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the inviolability of its borders. We thank all countries and international organizations that supported Azerbaijan during this period and value their continued support and engagement,” the statement from Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry said.
