YEREVAN — Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State for Economic Affairs Jacob Helberg.

The meeting was also attended by Enterprise Armenia CEO Gohar Abajyan.

The interlocutors discussed ongoing efforts and potential new initiatives aimed at the consistent development of the Armenia–United States strategic partnership. Both sides expressed satisfaction that the bilateral memoranda of understanding signed in Washington on August 8 in the fields of artificial intelligence and semiconductors have established a solid foundation for cooperation, with tangible results already emerging.

The parties reaffirmed their readiness to continue active work to expand Armenia–U.S. cooperation in high technologies and, more broadly, to promote investment and deepen economic cooperation—taking into account Armenia’s accumulated experience in these sectors and its rapidly developing innovation environment.

Mirzoyan and Helberg also addressed other areas of mutual interest, including prospects for cooperation in the energy sector, the extraction of critical minerals and rare earth elements, the security of supply chains, and infrastructure development.
