FJORD, NORWAY — Armenia’s Nazik Avdalyan won gold at the European Weightlifting Championships inwomen’s of 69kg weight class. Avdalyan lifted 105 kilos in the snatch and 132 kilos in the clean-and-jerk.

“I dedicate my victory to all soldiers who are fighting in Karabakh. We are with you and are strong thanks to you,” Nazik said.

The Armenian weightlifter, world champion of 2009, won her first title after recovering from a serious injury caused by a car accident in 2011.
