YEREVAN — The Armenian national football team will play two friendlies in the US, in late May and early June, the website of the Football Federation of Armenia reports. These matches will be charitable events.

The team will also play two games in March. Armenian and Belarus will play a friendly match on the first day of FIFA sanctioned International friendlies on March 24, negotiations for playing another friendly in March are still on. These will be national football team’s first matches under new manager Varuzhan Sukiasian who was appointed on December 10 of last year.

Armenia Advances in FIFA Ranking
FIFA released on January 7 World Ranking list of national football teams. The Armenian national team has improved its position by two horizontals, occupying the 121th place.

The list is topped by Belgium, followed by Argentina and Spain. Germany, Chile, Brazil, Portugal, Colombia, England and Austria are ranked 4­10 places. Russia is 24th, Azerbaijan 116th, Georgia 120th.
