STEPANAKERT — Nagorno Karabakh Republic (NKR) Foreign Minister Karen Mirzoyan said that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs although carefully but started to point out the destabilizer side on the contact line.

The Foreign Minister noted during end of year press conference, that Azerbaijan`s policy was a blatant disregard for the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and a challenge to the international community. In this context, Karen Mirzoyan attached great importance to the immediate development and implementation of investigation mechanisms of the incidents on the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan, which would allow to disclose the real violator of the ceasefire, specifically Azerbaijan, and to avoid untargeted appeals to the parties to the conflict.

“The co-chair countries should give a clear and addressed signal on the use or non-use of force, which is an important contribution to ensuring peace and stability”, the Foreign Minister stated.

Talking about Azerbaijan’s strategy to negotiate “with the help of weapons” Artsakh’s FM said that Azerbaijan already had a failed attempt to suppress the struggle of people of Artsakh about a quarter of a century ago.

NKR Foreign Minister said that Azerbaijan’s policy is a direct negligence towards OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs’ efforts and a challenge to the international community.

Mirzoyan touched upon the priorities of the NKR Foreign Ministry set for 2016, noting that the peaceful settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict and the international recognition of the NKR would remain in the focus of attention of the authorities of Artsakh.
