YEREVAN (Mediamax) — Armenian government has approved a draft decision on the creation of National Defense Research University Foundation. According to Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, the structure is designed to support the development of modern military education culture.
The structure and function of the institution would be conducting scientific economic and applied scientific strategic research, masters in defense security sphere, postgraduate specialties and providing additional education for the military and political leadership.
With the help of Armenian Defense Ministry National Defense Research University, it would be possible to conduct masters and additional educational programs gathering senior staff of Supreme Commander of the Armenian Armed Forces with the help of unified actions.
The University will be formed on the base of already functioning Kanayan Institute for National Strategic Studies with funds allocated by the state budget for Defense Ministry.
