YEREVAN — The Armenian government will allocate AMD 16.7 million to cover the costs of transporting and providing medical treatment in Armenia to three children from the Gaza Strip with serious health conditions. The relevant decision was adopted at the government’s August 20 meeting.

According to the draft decision, the three children who have agreed to receive treatment in Armenia, along with their accompanying persons—a total of six people—will be transported to Armenia via Jordan. The evacuation is planned to take place by land from the Allenby crossing on the Israel-Jordan border to Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, followed by a regular Amman-Yerevan flight. To properly coordinate the process, a two-member medical mission will be dispatched to the Allenby crossing.

Of the allocated funds, AMD 12.5 million will be used to organize the children’s medical care at specialized medical centers in Yerevan. In particular, examinations and follow-up care for the first patient, who has been diagnosed with primary hyperoxaluria and has undergone liver and kidney transplantation, will be provided at the Arabkir Medical Complex. The surgical and interventional procedures for the other two patients, who have congenital heart defects, will be performed at the Nork-Marash Medical Center.

The remaining funds will be allocated to cover transportation, airfare, accommodation, and mission-related expenses. Payments will be made based on actual expenses incurred, while any unused funds will be returned to the state budget.
