YEREVAN — Armenian companies have exported Armenian-made weapons for the first time, Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan announced.

According to the minister, this achievement is one of the reasons the government has invested billions of drams in the defense industry in recent years.

“With great joy and pride, I want to inform you that three Armenian companies exported weapons to two different countries during the month of May. After passing through rather complex and difficult logistical routes, Armenian companies were able to reach their intended destinations,” Hayrapetyan said.

Days earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan shared footage on social media from rehearsals for the May 28 military parade, showing Armenian-made DEV-3 reconnaissance-strike drones.
