YEREVAN — Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee has reported that searches were carried out at offices of the “Strong Armenia” party in Lori Province as part of a criminal investigation into alleged preparations to give electoral bribes and obstruct citizens’ free exercise of voting rights.

In response to numerous media inquiries, the committee said several searches and other procedural actions were conducted at Strong Armenia offices operating in Lori Province.

“A search was also conducted at an office disguised as a compound feed store. There are detained individuals. A preliminary investigation is underway. Additional information will be provided if necessary,” the committee said in a statement.
