YEREVAN — A delegation led by Major General Chris McKinney, Deputy Director for Partnering, Security Cooperation, and Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction at U.S. European Command, has arrived in Armenia to support the agreements reached during the August 8 summit at the White House. The U.S. Embassy in Armenia reported the visit in an official statement.
“U.S. European Command is working closely with Armenia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Defense to advance shared goals that contribute to lasting peace. These include expanding cooperation in the fields of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) defense, as well as supporting the continued modernization of Armenia’s armed forces,” the Embassy noted.
Earlier, in a separate announcement, the U.S. Embassy stated that the delegation led by Brigadier General Chris McKinney also visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial to pay tribute to the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.
