YEREVAN — Armenia has ranked among the top 10 safest countries in the world, according to the 2024 Numbeo Safety Index.

Armenia ranked 8th (77.6 points). Last year, the country was in 7th place.

Georgia ranks 20th (73.9 points), Azerbaijan 33rd (68.4 points), Russia 51st (60.9 points), Turkey 53rd (59.1 points), and Iran 90th (50.5 points).

A total of 146 countries are included in the ranking, with only those having a population of over 1 million people.

Andorra tops the list (87.1 points), followed by the UAE (84.4 points), Qatar (84.0), Taiwan (83.3 points), Oman (81.0 points), the Isle of Man (79.5 points), Hong Kong (78.2 points), Japan (77.4 points), and Singapore (76.5 points). The bottom-ranked countries are Afghanistan, Papua New Guinea, and Venezuela.
