LOS ANGELES – Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, currently on an official visit to the United States, met with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass.
The mayors emphasized the importance of leveraging information technologies across various sectors of the urban economy as a key point of bilateral cooperation.
Mayor Tigran Avinyan expressed confidence that Los Angeles’ experience and achievements in these areas would be invaluable for Yerevan as it undergoes a digital transformation. In turn, Mayor Karen Bass affirmed Los Angeles’ support for its sister city, Yerevan, and pledged to share its expertise and “smart” solutions to assist with the implementation of planned reforms.
The official meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, which outlined a focus on digital transformation. The cooperation outlined in the document aims to provide high-quality services and foster the development of “smart” solutions through the use of advanced technologies.
