YEREVAN — The Armenian Football Federation announced on its official website the dismissal of Ukrainian specialist Alexander Petrakov from his position as head coach of the national team, following a 0-2 defeat in the Nations League match against North Macedonia on Sunday.

Bojan Miovski opened the scoring in the 72nd minute, and Isnik Alimni doubled the lead in the 85th minute.

Armenia currently sits second in Group G with 4 points, while North Macedonia tops the group with 10 points.

Under Petrakov’s leadership, the Armenian national team played 18 matches, winning only 4 of them. The team also failed to qualify for the 2024 European Championship.
