YEREVAN — On July 28, the RA Ministry of Diaspora hosted Principle of AEBU Sahagian Levon Meguerdichian College of Lebanon Nazo Jerejian and 9th grade student Dzovag Keoshkerian, who climbed to the top of Mount Ararat just recently. At 13 Dzovag is the youngest Armenian girl to achieve this task.

Minister Hranush Hakobyan greeted the guests and particularly mentioned the following: “We have gathered here today on a very special occasion. Dzovag, 13, endeavored and reached the peak of the biblical Ararat. One needs to have so much love, willpower, the feeling of patriotism and the aspiration to reach the top of Ararat to take that daring step. I thank Dzovag’s parents for raising her to become patriotic. I would like to express special gratitude to the school’s principle. The school is where one becomes an individual. Thanks to Armenian schools, Armenian children of the Diaspora decide to live as Armenians and preserve the Armenian identity.”

Principal of the Sahagian Levon Meguerdichian College Nazo Jerejian expressed gratitude for the cordial reception and high appreciation. “The Ministry of Diaspora is the world’s most proactive ministry. We see and feel that. Thank you,” Jerejian said.

At dawn on July 21, Dzovag Keoshkerian climbed to the top of Mount Ararat. On the third day, she reached the peak of the 5,165 meter high biblical mountain and turned her childhood dream into a reality.
