YEREVAN — Armenia’s Prosecutor General’s Office is seeking the confiscation of 22 real estate properties, ownership interests in 13 companies and approximately 19.5 billion drams from former President Robert Kocharyan and individuals affiliated with him.

According to the lawsuit, prosecutors are seeking the confiscation of 22 real estate properties, 19 of which have a combined estimated market value of approximately 11.15 billion drams.

The claim also covers the rights to purchase two additional real estate properties, two vehicles and approximately 3.8 billion drams representing the acquisition value of other assets.

Prosecutors are also seeking the confiscation of ownership interests in 13 companies, including Toyota Yerevan and Nairi Insurance, as well as the acquisition value of stakes in four other companies.

The lawsuit additionally seeks the confiscation of:

-Bonds purchased for approximately $3.1 million and 985 million drams;

-Bank deposits exceeding $1.4 million and 200 million drams;

-Loan receivables totaling approximately $4 million, 8.3 billion drams, 260.4 million Russian rubles and €590,000.

The total monetary claim in the case amounts to approximately 19.56 billion drams, in addition to another 502 million drams that prosecutors allege represents the unlawful portion of bail paid in a criminal case.
