YEREVAN — A telephone conversation took place between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Prime Minister Modi once again congratulated Prime Minister Pashinyan on his victory in Armenia’s parliamentary elections and wished him success in his future activities.

Pashinyan thanked Modi for the congratulations and, in turn, congratulated him on becoming the longest-serving elected prime minister in India’s history, wishing him continued success for the welfare and development of India.

The two leaders emphasized the importance of the continued development of friendly relations between Armenia and India and noted with satisfaction the positive momentum in bilateral cooperation. They stressed the importance of intensifying political dialogue, as well as expanding cooperation in the fields of economy, high technologies, education, culture and other areas of mutual interest.

The prime ministers also addressed issues related to bilateral and multilateral cooperation and discussed steps aimed at further deepening relations in a number of areas on the Armenia-India agenda.

The sides also emphasized the importance of organizing high-level reciprocal visits to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries and advance new initiatives.
