Born in Yerevan, Armenia in 1975, Bagramyan graduated in 1994 from the Terlemezyan Yerevan State College of Fine Arts with a diploma of artist-graphics. From those early foundations, he has built a career of remarkable scope and international reach. His work has graced the walls of major art salons across Russia, Western Europe, and the United States, with personal exhibitions held in Switzerland, Poland, Germany, Italy, and Lebanon.
Bagramyan’s creative range extends well beyond fine art painting. Since 1995, he has engaged in an ongoing passion project — a series of illustrations for J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy, which has so far yielded forty works of varying scale, with more in progress. In 2000, he founded the “ASB” publishing house to champion children’s literature and promote the works of foreign and Russian authors. He has also served as a leading painter for Krasnov Design, the acclaimed Studio of Boris Krasnov, contributing to large-scale design installations and graphic commissions for major companies including Nestlé.
