YEREVAN — The last remaining Armenians living in Artsakh have been relocated to Armenia. A total of 10 Armenians and one ethnic Russian citizen of the Republic of Armenia who had been residing in Artsakh were transferred to Armenia, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan announced.

According to Torosyan, the 10 Armenians and one ethnic Russian Armenian citizen who had remained in the Republic of Azerbaijan (Karabakh) submitted requests to the relevant authorities of Azerbaijan and Armenia seeking relocation to the Republic of Armenia. Based on these requests, the individuals were transferred to Armenia, Torosyan wrote on his Facebook page.

Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan reported that all of the relocated individuals underwent medical examinations. One person was hospitalized at the Goris Medical Center for additional tests, while the others are in satisfactory health.

“Our medical team traveled to meet our 11 compatriots who were relocated from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia today in order to provide emergency medical assistance if needed. At this time, all have undergone medical examinations; one has been hospitalized at the Goris Medical Center for further evaluation. The health condition of our 10 compatriots is satisfactory,” Avanesyan wrote on her Facebook page.
