YEREVAN — The first meeting of the Armenia–United States working group was held to implement the agreements reached in August 2025.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan and U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Sonata Coulter delivered opening remarks, in which they highly praised the dynamically developing strategic partnership between the two countries.

Deputy Minister Kostanyan reaffirmed the Armenian side’s interest in actively advancing cooperation in developing the capacities of the “Crossroads of Peace” project signed on August 8, as well as in implementing memoranda of understanding on partnership in innovative cooperation in artificial intelligence and semiconductors, and on energy security.

The sides agreed to continue discussions at the expert level in the near future in order to implement the concrete arrangements reached.

The U.S. Embassy in Armenia also noted that the United States is pleased to work with its valued strategic partner, the Republic of Armenia, toward realizing President Trump’s vision for establishing peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus.

U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien also spoke about the development of bilateral relations during an interview with CivilNet.
