YEREVAN — The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia has approved the 2026 state budget. The draft was adopted with 62 votes in favor, 27 against, and 3 abstentions.
Earlier, during discussions at the National Assembly, Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan stated that the 2026 budget draft is based on the same macroeconomic forecasts as the preliminary version. These include a nominal GDP of 11.933 trillion drams, economic growth of 5.4 percent, and a debt-to-GDP ratio of 52.9 percent.
State budget revenues are projected at 3.091 trillion drams.
The budget deficit has been maintained at 4.5 percent of GDP, amounting to 536.8 billion drams.
