CUPERTINO, CA – On November 20, Armenia’s Ambassador to the United States, Narek Mkrtchyan, visited Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, where he met with Jason Lundgaard, Senior Director of the company’s International Cooperation Division.
During the meeting, the ambassador presented an overview of the Memorandum of Understanding signed on August 8 on innovative cooperation between Armenia and the United States in the fields of artificial intelligence and semiconductors, as well as the advantages of Armenia’s tech ecosystem and its investment opportunities. The sides discussed possible directions for cooperation and the prerequisites for Apple to expand its presence in Armenia.
According to the agreement reached, Apple will send a delegation to Armenia in the near future to explore opportunities for expanding the company’s operations.
The ambassador thanked Lundgaard for launching Apple’s first educational program at the Armenian College of Creative Technologies (ACT). Both sides emphasized their readiness to continue working toward expanding the educational program.
