MANAMA — Arayik Harutyunyan, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, participated in the International Weightlifting Federation Congress in Manama.

The document signed during the Congress enshrined Armenia’s right to organize the World Championships and bilateral obligations during the 2027 World Championships.

In his speech, Arayik Harutyunyan expressed gratitude to Mohammed Jaloudi, President of the International Weightlifting Federation, Secretary General Antonio Urso, and other members of the Executive Committee for providing Armenia with such an opportunity.

It was noted that, in fact, Armenia will become a major sports center in 2027, since in addition to the World Weightlifting Championships, Yerevan will host the Francophonie Games, the European Gymnastics Championships, etc..
