YEREVAN (ARKA.am) — More than ten countries will take part in the Yerevan International Communications Biennale on October 16 to 18, Armen Martirosyan, the president of the biennale, said Wednesday at a news conference.
In particular, participants will come from Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon and Turkey.
“The foreign guests will give master classes in Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University as part of the festival, and exhibitions and various meetings will be organized as well,” Martirosyan said.
In his words, award winners will be chosen by the jury in nine nominations – TV and Video Commercials; Printed and Outdoor Advertising; Digital and New Media; Radio Commercials; Graphic Design; Marketing Campaigns; PR Campaigns; Books and Social Advertisement.
“We also pay special attention to development of ‘Artsakh’ brand,” he said. “We will travel to Nagorno Karabakh with some jurors and discuss issues related to Karabakh’s brand abroad.”
Martirosyan said that a contest will be announced to create this brand, and winners will receive large prizes from Artsakhbank.
Samvel Sahakyan, head of Prime Commercial Company, said that the guests will come to know of Artsakh’s culture and submit their proposals on ‘Artsakh’ brand to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic’s government.
Arsen Sultanyan, director of Marketing IP Company, on his side, said that the company will pay more attention to Internet advertisement.
The aim of the Yerevan International Communications Biennale is to provide an opportunity to companies from various countries to establish ties with each other, to European and Asian advertising agencies to exchange their experiences and to students and advertisement workers to develop their careers.
The biennale is organized by the Advertisement Council of Armenia.
