YEREVAN — Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Arab states accredited to Armenia.

Pashinyan emphasized the importance of developing relations and deepening cooperation with Arab countries, noting the strong historical and cultural ties that have developed between Armenia and the Arab world.

In particular, the prime minister said the Armenian government is interested in advancing new initiatives aimed at strengthening political, diplomatic, and economic relations.

The meeting also addressed efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region. In this context, the participants emphasized the importance of the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan following the August 8, 2025 summit in Washington.

The ambassadors thanked Pashinyan for organizing the meeting in this format, noting that it would contribute to effective dialogue and discussions on issues of mutual interest.

The participants also exchanged views on steps aimed at unblocking regional transportation links, including ongoing efforts to implement the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project.

The meeting also addressed the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), which is scheduled to be held in Armenia in October of this year.

Pashinyan stressed the importance of active participation by delegations from Arab states in the upcoming events.
